Tiparos fish sauce is a Thai fish sauce made from fermented anchovies. The smell of this (and any other) fish sauce is very strong, but the taste, on the other hand, is a lot softer and warmer than you would expect if you go by the smell alone. Fish sauce is essential in Thai cuisine and adds a nice salty flavour to e.g. Thai curry!
